These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of vehicle body repair, paint correction, respray, bumper repair, accident damage repair, and related services ("Services") by RDM Bodyworks ("we", "us", "our") to you ("you", "customer", "you"). By requesting a quote, authorizing repairs, or dropping off your vehicle, you agree to these terms.Nature of ServicesWe specialize in high-quality accident repairs, paint correction, car resprays, bumper repairs, and restoration of vehicles to original condition using skilled technicians and top-grade materials.Services aim for a seamless, professional finish but results depend on vehicle condition, parts availability, and other factors—no specific outcome is guaranteed. We handle non-fault insurance claims; you have the right to choose your repairer (not required to use your insurer's recommended one). These are not warranties on parts (unless separately provided by suppliers) or vehicle performance post-repair.Quotes, Estimates, and AuthorizationsQuotes/estimates are provided based on initial inspection (often visual or photos). They are indicative and may change upon full strip-down/inspection revealing additional damage (e.g., hidden issues). We will notify you of any significant increases and seek your approval before proceeding.Repairs commence only after your written/email/WhatsApp authorization (including acceptance of updated quote if applicable). We reserve the right to refuse or cancel work at our discretion (e.g., safety, legality, or unsuitable vehicle), with no charge if no work started.Bookings, Drop-Off, and CollectionVehicle drop-off by appointment. We aim to provide realistic completion timescales but these are estimates—delays may occur due to parts, paint drying, subcontractor work, or unforeseen issues. You must collect your vehicle promptly upon notification of completion (we will contact you via phone/WhatsApp/email).Storage Fees: If your vehicle is not collected within 7 calendar days after we notify you that repairs are completed (and invoice settled in full), we charge £15 per day (or part thereof) for secure storage. This covers space, security, and administration. Fees accrue until collection or alternative arrangement. We may apply a lien on the vehicle for unpaid fees/repairs.PaymentsFull payment due on completion (before release of vehicle) unless agreed otherwise (e.g., insurance direct billing).Accepted methods: [cash, card, bank transfer — specify your preferences].Deposits may be required for larger jobs or parts ordering (non-refundable except in specific cases).Late payment incurs interest at 8% above Bank of England base rate (per Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act).If paying via insurance, we deal directly where possible, but you remain liable for any shortfall/excess/ deductible.Customer Responsibilities Provide accurate vehicle details, accident history, and access to keys/documents.Ensure vehicle is roadworthy/legal for drop-off (e.g., valid MOT, tax, insurance).Remove personal items/valuable belongings—we accept no liability for loss/theft/damage to items left in vehicle.Do not attend if vehicle poses health/safety risks (e.g., leaking fluids, hazardous materials). You warrant you are the registered keeper/authorized to approve repairs.Liability and LimitationsWe perform Services with reasonable care and skill per industry standards. To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect/consequential loss (e.g., loss of use, hire car costs, business interruption) is excluded or limited. Our total liability is capped at the repair invoice value.Nothing excludes liability for death/personal injury from our negligence, fraud, or statutory rights. We carry appropriate motor trade insurance (public liability, employers', etc.).Vehicle Storage and Uncollected VehiclesVehicles are stored at your risk post-dropoff. We take reasonable care but exclude liability for loss/damage except due to our negligence. If vehicle remains uncollected after 28 days post-completion (with fees accruing), we may treat it as abandoned and dispose/sell per Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 after notice. Proceeds offset debts; surplus returned if claimed.Confidentiality and DataPersonal/vehicle data handled per UK GDPR. Used for quotes, repairs, insurance, and marketing (with consent).
